01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Jared is a RHP/3B prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. On the mound, Jared gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jared shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph. Curveball sits from 66-68mph with 10-4 break. Slider displays sharp movement. In the field, Jared makes the routine plays and gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with loose hands. He gets his hands activated in his load and works to barrel up the baseball, driving the ball to the opposite field. Overall, Jared is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
