12/01/2023 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Jared is a talented 5 ft 11/175 OF/RHP in the 2024 class. In the field, he shows effective footwork and stays inside the baseball in his angle routes. He has pocket feel and redirects with clean and quick actions. Ball comes out of the hand well at 87 velo and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, he shows a clean and live arm. He has an aggressive mindset and gets ahead on a consistent basis (5 K’s in 2 inn). His FB reached 87 while sitting 84-6 with late run. His CB shaped 10-4 and had medium break for strikes. His CH sat 74-5 and will need to use more to compliment his FB. At the plate, he has a comfortable feel and maintains a quiet head. Body stays under control and he engages his lower half well. Demonstrates the ability to create excellent bat to ball skills with proper extension through the zone. Overall, Jared is a gifted player who can make a difference at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
