01/11/2008 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2008 Jarod is an thin, athletic SS who has a good all around idea and a gamer. A SS, shows soft feet while moving laterally. Has clean hands and fields out in front. Get rids of it and has decent carry. Could use better rhythem cause he speeds up just before and after exchange. Would like to see one continuous movement. At the plate, brings a good concept with a solid base and good balance. Has short aggressive swing that allows use to all fields. Chokes the bat some and foot, at times, gets down to late.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
