07/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One South Jarvis is an athletic outfielder who has well above average footspeed as evidenced by his 6.7 60 yard dash time. His quick feet allow him to take good routes to the ball, and his throws show accuracy towards his target. To improve as an outfielder, he can work on being a little more aggressive with his footwork and finishing his throws better. As a hitter, Jarvis has good balance, barrell accuracy, and pre pitch actions, and he shows the potential to have some spray power. To improve hitting grades, he needs to work on timing with his lower half and make sure he consistently closes as his stance starts a little open.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
