08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Middletown, CT - PM Jason is a short, athletic, 2-way player that plays OF and 1st Base. He currently projects better in the INF as he approaches his Senior year. At 1B, Jason is light on his feet, he presents his glove well and he fields the ball out in front of his body. Jason has soft hands and moves well around the bag. Jason can improve in the INF if he can follow his throws and add arm strength. In the OF, Jason is aggressive to the ball and he fields it on his glove side. He gets rid of the ball quickly and throws with average accuracy to his target. Jason will need to avoid camping under the ball and add arm strength and carry in order to get better in the OF. At the plate, Jason has a loose grip, he can handle the inside pitch, and he can spray to all fields. He currently has average bat speed and barrel accuracy. A shorter stroke, more level swing, and higher hands should help offensive grades further spike.
