08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Jason is a talented C/1B/RHP who recently performed at the Ripken Games in MD. In the field, he shows positive actions and the ability to make plays. He creates an easy and quiet target for his staff and the ball sticks to his glove. Increasing his blocking ability will be a key point as he progresses in the game. On the mound, he works out of the stretch. He completed two innings of work and sat 49-53 with his FB and 42-4 with his breaking pitch. At the plate, he collected 2 hits and 3 walks in game action. He shows raw power with a 56-exit speed. Overall, Jason has time to work on his game and become a fine player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
