08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Dallas, TX Jason made a significant impact at the All-Ripken games in Frisco, catching the attention of scouts with his performance on the mound. His mechanics featured impressive balance and coordination, along with a deceptive delivery that kept hitters off balance. He consistently threw a fastball at 69 mph and complemented it with a breaking ball at 53 mph. At the plate, Jason showcased strong strike zone awareness, drawing several walks and collecting multiple base hits. Behind the plate, he demonstrated his catching skills with a pop time to second base recorded at 2.25 seconds during warm-ups, highlighting his quick release and throwing accuracy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
