11/15/2020 - All-In Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA This 2022 graduate has improved his metrics substantially since we last saw him 4 months ago. Tejeda has improved his arm strength from 72mph to 78mph, his 60 yard dash from 7.85 to 7.52 seconds, his 5-10-5 shuttle run from 5.48 to 4.60 seconds and his exit velocity from 72mph to 77mph. He flashes athleticism up the middle as his feet and hands work well together. He creates proper angles allowing him to shorten the distance of his throw and generating decent carry. This was our first time seeing him behind the plate. He showed an overall comfort back there with solid blocking skills. At the plate, we like him from the right side as his consistency in approach is better there than from the left side. With two high schools season in front of him, Tejeda needs to continue to keep his foot on the accelerator so that his progress that we have seen with our own eyes continues.

06/10/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Medford (Boston), MA Jason is a young, athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays SS. Behind the plate, Jason has active feet, agile movements, and he presents his glove well. He works hard, tracks the ball well, and blocks properly. Jason has a clean exchange and a long arm with consistency to 2nd base. At SS, Jason has fluid footwork soft/presentable hands, and he takes proper angles. He fields in rhythm, has a clean exchange, and throws with a quick arm across the diamond. Offensively, Jason has a square/athletic set-up, he loads well, and he stands in well balanced. He has a still head, he makes consistent contact, and he uses some lower body. Jason can improve skills with work on the following.

Catching
1. Exchange
2. Soften glove
3. Accuracy
Infield
1. Exchange
2. Footwork
3. Long toss
Offense
1. Barrel accuracy
2. Bat speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
