01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jaxon is a 2027 SS/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At SS, he starts in a relaxed posture and takes aggressive angles to batted balls. He worked to center the baseball and fields from an on-time fielding position with a low funnel. He showed a 2-hand exchange, with accurate throws, and an arm velocity up to 69mph. At the plate, he hits from a tall and even stance with high hands. Showed good barrel control with a good lower half turn. He hit hard line drives to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph during BP. During the games, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 3 times with a single, and 2 base on balls. A right-handed pitcher, he has a good mound presence and some feel for pitching. He has his shoulders in-line to his target and gets his chest over his front knee. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 71mph with sinking action, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with plus command. Jaxon is a solid 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Jaxon is a hard working SS/RHP in the class of 2027 out of Maryland. Defensively, he displayed the ability to be coachable and make the routine play consistently. He tried to play through the ball to help set up his arm to make accurate throws to his target. Offensively, he had a simple set up with good timing to help him get on plane early and work the ball to the middle of the field with barrel control. On the mound, he showed great presence with good mechanics which helped him throw strikes consistently. His fastball topped out at 65 mph while his breaking ball ranged from 57-58 mph with okay break. Jaxon could benefit from programs/drills such as long toss, weights and hitting separation drills.

10/23/2021 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 12-14) Jaxon is an RHH who displays a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick, creating bat speed and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. He shows a good feel for approach and is advanced for his age. Working to get stride foot down sooner to work, to work on time more consistently will aid in improving hitting grades.

08/21/2021 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Jaxon is an athletic SS prospect who showed well during the Summer Pro Training event. In the field, Jaxon shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and consistently makes on-line throws to his target. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Jaxon is a talented prospect who will benefit from adding arm strength through long toss.

08/01/2021 - All-In Membership - Washington, DC Jaxon is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. In the field, Jaxon shows efficient footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he makes consistent throws to his target. Long tossing can help Jaxon build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a short swing and sprays the ball to all fields. Jaxon can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Jaxon gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jaxon operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 59mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 53-54mph with 10-4 break. Slider sits from 53-54mph with good movement. Keeping his eyes on target throughout his delivery can help Jaxon improve his pitch command. With six more years to develop, Jaxon has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
