12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jaxon is a 2024 SS/RHP who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Recruiting Classic. In the field, he has an athletic setup and good pre-pitch step. He fields with his hands out front and his eyes behind his glove. Jaxon showed good range to both his backhand and glove side. He had good carry across the infield and had a top velocity of 82 mph. At the plate, the left-handed hitter has a relaxed stance and high hand placement. He has a soft stride and activated load with good intent. His swing path stays on-plane and he has good barrel control. On the mound, he showed a solid 3-pitch mix. His fastball showed some sink and topped at 82 mph. His CB sat 64-68 mph and had good break at times. In 2 innings of work he was very efficient keeping a low pitch count. He also allowed no runs and picked up a pair of strikeouts. We foresee that Jaxon will continue to impress coaches going into his senior season.

08/20/2023 - National Showcase - Billings, MT Jaxon is a RHP who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build and strength present. On the mound, this right-hand pitcher gathers over the rubber, with a good rear hip coil, and rotates to his target. He showed a quick hand and whippy arm action. Throws a FB that sits 76-78mph with some movement, a 12/6 breaking ball with good depth, an 11/5 shaped slider, and changeup with sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Shows a late bat whip and is centered at contact. He hit balls hard consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph during BP. With another year of development, we foresee Jaxon having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
