07/25/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Elizabethtown, KY Jaxson can play all over the field and had a good showing at the All-Ripken Games highlighted by a double to left-center field. There is some length to his swing, but he showed that he could get the barrel to the ball on time, and he displayed strength at contact. Defensively, he was twitchy and coordinated behind the plate. His arm plays well back there, and he showed the versatility to jump out and play other spots on the field as well - looking athletic everywhere. On the mound, his fastball ranged from 67-70 mph, and his breaking ball had a gradual break, sitting at 59-60 mph. He was a strike thrower to start his outing and has quite a bit of overall potential on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
