08/20/2023 - National Showcase - Billings, MT Jayden is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2026. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and shows good body control at baseball. Fields from a low fielding position with a quick exchange. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 67mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on-time. He has a controlled landing and gets his chest over his front knee. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 62-63mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a developing changeup. SL was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Gets knob to C and gets a good hip turn through contact point. Has a high finish as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jayden making huge strides on the baseball field.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Jayden is a 2028 SS/RHP in the 2028 class. In the field, he has an athletic set-up and active feet. He gains a solid 1st step and is on-time in his fielding position. Positions his glove out in front and his exchanges are clean. Gains a high ¾ slot and his feeds are accurate. On the mound, he has an aggressive mindset and can put hitters away. His FB topped at 65 and pounded the zone. His CB sat 48-51 with 11-5 shape and was trusted to be thrown in any count. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and has loose hands. His in game at bats were competitive and he stayed on the baseball. Registered 3 base hits to the middle of the field and his outs were to the right side. Jayden is a student of the game and is coachable. Working on his footspeed will be a key point as he moves forward in his game. Overall, scouts are eager to see him at future events to see his progress.

08/07/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Billings, MT Jayden is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2028. In the field, Jayden shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate/on-line throws to his target. Long tossing can help Jayden build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and gets back into his load well. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays the ball to all fields. Jayden can create more consistent contact by taking a shorter stride. On the mound, Jayden operates with a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 60mph. Curveball sits from 47-49mph with 10-4 break. Circle change sits at 52mph. Knuckle curve sits from 48-49mph with good movement. Striding inline toward the plate can help Jayden improve his pitch command. With six more years to develop, Jayden has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
