02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Jayson is an athletic/talented (6'1"/175) two-way prospect (RHP/OF) in the 2022 class that plays the game at a high level. This righty takes the mound with a good presence looking to go after hitters and compete. He works with a two pitch mix, FB ranges 81-85 working all four quadrants of the strike zone, and CH plays down in the zone. As he continues to develop his offspeed, he has the potential to grow into a complete, power pitcher. He commands both of his pitches well while working ahead in the strike zone. In the OF, he starts in an athletic position with active/efficient footwork allowing him to get a good first step on balls hit his way. He attacks the ball in an athletic position with good presentation of his hands out in front. Exchange is clean and throws are accurate with carry (83 mph). He continues to shine at the plate, taking the box in an athletic/closed setup. He has an explosive lower half with a strong barrel, allowing the ball to pop off the bat (exit velo = 95 mph). He was a threat at the plate at this event, going 3-6 with a triple. Jayson is a fun player to watch and has next level ability.

07/14/2020 - All-In Membership - Lake Elsinore (Los Angeles), CA Jayson is a talented/projectable (6'1"/165) RHP who pounds the zone with strikes. On the bump, he has a solid 3-pitch mix coming from an over-the-top arm slot and quick/clean arm action. He works to a balance point, keeps his shoulders in-line and stays directional toward the dish. FB cracks the mitt at 85 mph while showing some cutting action. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with some good bite. Changeup shows to be his best off-speed pitch with tail as he throws it with FB arm speed, helping to create deception. He does a nice job of keeping it down in the zone and will get a lot of swing and misses or GB outs. As a hitter, this righty has an athletic setup with centered balance. He gets good separation, takes a hack and engages his lower 1/2 well. He squares the ball up and drives it to the deep parts of the park with pop (exit velocity = 93 mph). Nace is a skilled RHP prospect who is one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.
