06/05/2016 - College PREP - River Forest (Chicago), IL Jazzmine is a 2018 RHP/SS from the Chicago area. At the plate, shows an athletic stance and balanced swing. Finds the barrel and stays between her feet during the swing. Has good connection with the hips and hands and shows the ability to use the lower half to drive the ball. As a SS, stays athletic, hustles constantly and has good hand eye coordination. Takes good angles to the ball and works thru toward the target well. Has a good arm stroke and release showing some carry across the diamond. On the mound, works with good pace and tempo, has a good balance point and stays squared to the plate during delivery. Uses a 3 pitch mix to keep hitters off balance (FB/CB/SCR). Shows the ability to command multiple pitches but needs to work to create more consistency.

12/01/2013 - Interactive Video Program - McCook (Chicago), IL Jazzmine is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Jazzmine has good pre-pitch actions, she takes good angles to the ball, and picks out the right hops. She has a good release and a fluid arm across the diamond to her target. On the mound, Jazzmine has a free arm action, proper separation, and she lands in a square position. She has a proper landing, and finishes in a square position. Offensively, Jazzmine has a square set-up, good bat balance, and a level swing. She has direct hands to the ball, good barrel accuracy, and works the middle of the field. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
