06/03/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida JD is an athletic OF who shows as a top prospect on the diamond. In the field, JD is agile covering ground and gets into a low position. He fields with soft hands and makes a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with explosive bat speed and good extension, leading to great gap to gap power. Overall, JD is a talented prospect who has the skill set to perform at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
