12/06/2009 - College PREP - Cedar Hill, TX Jeremiah is a lean, 2-way athlete, that continues to show promise as he grows and progresses. At SS, Jeremiah works well to surround the baseball and he shows good hands. Again, he shows consistency in making the plays. Jeremiah does a nice job feeding the double play, and turning the double play. If Jeremiah can quicken his release time, and stay lower, in a more athletic position when throwing, his defensive abilities could further improve. In the OF, Jeremiah works well to get behind the baseball, and also works well through it. If Jeremiah can keep his arm slot high, it will help get the ball to the target quicker and more accurate. Offensively, Jeremiah has good balance, bat speed, and good barrel accuracy. He makes solid contact and shows signs of having some raw power. Jeremiah's offensive numbers could improve with looser actions, and working on a proper load.

07/07/2009 - Cape Cod Training 2009 - Week 1 Jeremiah continues to show steady improvement with his baseball skills. Went 4-7 during the entire event. At the plate, demonstrated very quick direct hands to the hitting zone. Showed a level swing thru the hitting zone with good extension. Had the ability to hit balls to all fields with some pop. Ball jumped off barrel every time he centered the ball. At SS, had very good first step as he reads ball off bat. Good athletic actions allowed him to cover lots of ground. Played aggressive thru ball as he fielded ball little deep. Decent exchange lead to accurate throws. Stringent long toss program will help improve velocity. Showed lots of life and energy on the baseball field. Showed best potential in the OF at the next level.

05/18/2008 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Jeremiah is a young player with some ability at the plate. Offensively, Jeremiah has bat speed and an aggressive approach. He makes solid contact and quick hands. He needs to work on better utilizing his lower half in order to increase power and balance. Defensively, Jeremiah has quick feet and range as his 60-time indicates. He might want to consider a move to the outfield to take advantage of his speed. In the infield, he fields the ball deep and takes a long time to get rid it. He needs some instruction to improve his ability in the infield especially with the proper arm action.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
