10/15/2008 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic - 2008 Fujimoto topped at 89 with his fastball, a one mph increase from the 88 we had seen a couple of times prior. His breaking ball peaked at 74, a jump of three mph from his previous high on that pitch. He worked ahead in the count, and showed some feel to pitch while still attacking the zone for the most part. His arm worked loose and easy, and he kept good balance throughout his delivery. Can work to get a little quicker to the plate from the stretch, and really needs to improve his physical strength in order to improve the plane on his pitches. Showed potential to play shortstop as well, thanks to excellent actions and soft hands. Can improve his agility and infield footwork. At the plate, he showed excellent hand-eye coordination and good bat speed. Can work to track pitches better, and needs to keep the ball out of the air. Overall, has potential to become a very good college pitcher.
