03/18/2018 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Jeremy is a solid, strong 3B/C who will graduate in 2019. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.55 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He tracks balls well and sticks balls in the zone but needs to widen his stance and needs to utilize his body more through the blocking process. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. Jeremy has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
