02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Jesse is a very talented & strong (6'3"/195) OF who is fun to watch. With the bat, this righty steps into the box with a purpose and is looking to jump on 1st pitch FB's. Quick hands fire the barrel with a smooth stroke as he connects with power and drives the ball to deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 98 mph). He sees a lot of pitches and doesn't swing at much outside of the zone (drawing 4 walks at the event). In the OF, he moves lightly on the balls of his feet and covers a ton of ground. He works behind and through it with athletic actions and gains ground toward his target. Throws are on a line with accuracy & carry. This VCU commit made a great impression during his time in FL and is one to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
