03/13/2011 - College PREP - Hightstown, NJ Jimmy is a young, thin, 2nd baseman who will graduate in 2012. In the INF, Jimmy has soft / sure hands, quick / active feet, and an early glove. He moves well laterally, he works around the ball, and he fields in an athletic position. Jimmy has a clean / quick exchange, and he throws with a short / loose arm with average strength and good accuracy to his target. Defensive grades can get better by play more from the ground, up, fielding further out in front of his body, and with added arm strength. At the plate, Jimmy has a crouched stance, proper load, and short stride. His swing is level, he has a line drive approach, and he can spray the ball to all fields. Offensive tool grades can get better if Jimmy can avoid wrapping the bat, throw his hands more directly to the ball, and use more of his lower 1/2.
