Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/3BPosition Projection

02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Monticello, IA Job is a talented 3B/RHP in the 2028 class. In the field, he demonstrates the trust factor and makes the routine plays look routine. Squares his body to the baseball and his exchanges are clean. Arms proves to be accurate from a release. Working to stay in his legs and follow his throws will provide additional carry on the baseball. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix from a slot. He has repeatable mechanics and works with great pace and tempo. His FB sat 64-6 and his CB ranged 50-6 with 9-3 spin. His SL showed similar spin and topped at 61. Working to stay directional will improve ball/strike ratio. At the plate, he begins in a squared stride and gains proper separation. He likes to use the middle of the field and shows excellent line drive production. Overall, Job is a talent 2028 player and scouts are eager to witness his development at future BF events.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
