01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Joee is a talented athlete with potential at the next level. At 2B, Joee has soft hands and a quick first step. He stays down well and he turns the double play nicely. He can work on staying a little lighter on his feet to help stay balanced. At the plate, Joee shows a quick short swing. He hits a lot of line drives and he has some pull side pop. As he grows and strengthens his overall grades should improve.

07/14/2008 - College PREP - Cedar Hill (DFW), TX Joee is a young 2B with a solid average body for the position. Arm strength is near above average displaying life and carry across the diamond. Arm action is loose and easy. Foot speed is more suited for 3B currently but feet are active showing solid footwork to field. Glove action is soft, sure and presents well out front. Infield actions are more suited for 3B at the next level and he has the arm to play there. At the plate, Joee continues to show near above average ability with above average power. He utilizes his lower half well through a balanced approach. He does a nice job of keeping hands inside the baseball and shows a consistent feel for the barrel. Power shows best to the pull side. Reyna II will draw a lot of attention to himself over the next 2 years from the college coaches with his baseball tools.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
