03/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Bowie, MD Joell is a 2022 2B. Medium frame athletic build with room to continue to fill out. Primary 2B shows active feet and ability to cover ground laterally. Creates good momentum to ball with good DP footwork. Fields it square with good glove angle and glove actions. Throws from an over the top arm slot with online and accurate throws. Actions fit the position with continued improvement and development. Right-handed hitter starts with tall and closed stance. Simple load and short stride allows him to repeat swing on all pitches. Good contact hitter with middle of field approach. 2 years of continued growth and development will bode well for his ability to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
