08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Joey performed well in his latest Factory outing - running his best sixty to date, 7.29 seconds. At first base, he has a good approach, works around the ball, and has active feet around the bag. Glove presentation and quickening his footwork will allow for more effective range to finish plays. At the plate, he showed an ability to square balls up with good timing and an on-plane swing path. On the bump, he competed well - throwing three pitches for strikes, with good arm action and a controlled head. With added arm strength and some minor mechanical touch-ups, Gonnella could become a next level pitcher. In all - the Joey showed to be a competitive guy, a good teammate, and a coachable player
