06/14/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Visalia, CA Joey is a tall, athletic RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. On the mound, Joey gathers over the rubber and works with a clean arm, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Joey shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 81mph with good sinking and cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 69-70mph with good movement. Knuckleball sits at 61mph with good downward action. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to loud contact and great pull side pop. Overall, Joey is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
