12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jon is a 2026 OF who showcased his talents at the BF Recruiting Classic. In the outfield, he starts on the balls of his feet, has quick feet, and works behind the ball. He has a good first step, an athletic fielding position, and has a clean exchange. Jon throws from a ¾ arm slot and has accurate throws with a raw velocity of 78 mph. At the plate, he starts from an athletic stance, has a high hand slot, and a small load. He has a good bat speed which will produce a lot of line drives. In the game, Jon proved to be a tough out and sprayed the ball to both sides of the field and picked up a base hit. With 2 more years to grow, we expect to see great things out of Jon on the baseball field.

10/08/2023 - National Showcase - Visalia, CA Jon is a scrappy 5ft 10/150 OF in the 2026 class. In the field, he shows quick feet and likes to work behind the baseball. Moves with agility and gains an athletic fielding position. Creates a solid glove lane with pocket feel. His exchanges are quick and creates accurate feeds back to the dirt at 75 velo. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and uses a short stride. Gets into his load well and stays inside his feet. Flashes hard contact with line drive production. Working to attack the inside part of the baseball will allow for more full field production. Overall, Jon impressed scouts with his actions and feel he can blossom into a fine prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
