His broad jump (99 inches) and grip strength (118 left, 126 right) reflect explosive lower-body power and overall strength.
Defensively, Flotte shows good arm strength, reaching 82 mph on the radar gun with a 79 mph infield velocity, making him a reliable defender at third base. Defensively, he fields from a square stance and showcases smooth actions as he works from right to left on ground balls, demonstrating good carry on his throws across the diamond. On the mound, his simple and repeatable delivery allows him to achieve a solid balance position, effectively rotating to his target. At the plate, he begins in a crouched, athletic stance, utilizing quick hands and a flat barrel path to drive line drives to all fields with impressive pop. Jonathan is a 2025 3B/RHP who improved his skills during the BF All-Star Experience. Jonathan continues to show improvements in all phases of his game. At 3B he starts on the balls of his feet and shows athletic actions. Showed good body control at baseball and keeps his eyes behind his glove. He creates good fielding angles, with ability to throw from multiple arm slots, and an arm velocity up to 81mph. On the mound he has a good mound presence and is composed. He pitches ahead and throws strikes. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 78mph, and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with tight spin. In 2 scoreless innings of work, he struck out 2 batters and induced soft contact. At the plate he hits from an upright and even stance with loose hands. He showed quick hands and swings the bat with intent. In live game action he reached base 6 times with a triple, a double and 4 singles. Jonathan worked hard and made necessary adjustments during his week in Dallas. Jonathan should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued development.
12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2
Jonathan is a 2025 grad out of Odessa, TX who continues to shine with his baseball abilities and did so at the Pirate City Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the field, he displays proper footwork as he works to square balls up. Glove action is soft and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a fluid swing. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-73 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with loose spin and gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Jonathan communicates well, is a solid team player, and shows a good feel for game.
11/18/2023 - National Showcase - San Antonio, TX
Jonathan is a 3B/RHP prospect from Odessa, TX in the class of 2025. He shows of an athletic frame and has decent foot speed with room to continue to improve his athletic ability. In in the infield, he does a good job of picking out hops as well as showing good glove actions to both sides of his body. On the mound, he mixes is in three pitches for strikes. Repeats his delivery well and commands his fastball to both sides of the plate. At the plate, he shows his best ability. He hits from a tall and athletic stance. He shows quick hands with the ability to stay in the center of the field. Overall Jonathan is a bright young player with room to continue to improve throughout his remaining 2 seasons of high school baseball.
07/09/2023 - Baseball Factory Seattle All Star Experience (Ages 14-18)
Jonathan is a 2025 3B/RHP out of Odessa, Texas who continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting/power potential have improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 75 mph. Fastball showed a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays a 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Jonathan as he enters his junior year.
11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS)
Jonathan is a 2025 SS/RHP who showcased his skills during the Fall Prospects Tournament. At SS, he showed good range and athletic actions. He worked to center the baseball and fields from a square fielding position with a low funnel. He made accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot to second base with an arm velocity up to 80mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He hits into a firm frontside, with good hand separation, and is centered at contact. He showed good barrel control as he hit line drives to all fields with a with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during BP. During the games, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 5 times with 3 singles, and 2 base on balls. A right-handed pitcher, he has a good mound presence and a good feel for pitching. He strides in-line to his target and has a controlled landing. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 73mph with some movement arm side, a 12/6 shaped breaking ball with tight spin, and a changeup with good depth that he throws with FB arm speed. In 3 innings of work, he punched out 3 and didn't allow a hit. Jonathan is a solid 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
06/16/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (HS)
Jonathan is a 2025 2B/RHP prospect who worked hard in National World Series in Omaha. At 2B, showed athletic actions as he starts on the balls of his feet with ability to make routine plays. Showed good lateral range as he worked to center the baseball. Made accurate throws from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 80mph. On the mound, he strides in-line and has a controlled landing. He does a good job of varying looks on the mound. Attacks hitters with a FB that sat 69-71mph with plus command, and a 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes some depth. During the event, he struck out 4 batters and 0 earned runs in 2 innings of work. At the plate, he hits from an upright and closed stance with comfortable hands. Gets a good lower half turn as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 69mph during BP. With 3 years of continued development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.
10/13/2021 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic
Jonathan is a class of 2025 2B prospect. He shows good athleticism throughout his testing. In the field, he does a good job of working downhill through the baseball to help himself find good hops. Fields with his glove presented firmly out front. Does a good job of keeping his eyes behind the backhands and working through the baseball. At the plate, he shows the ability to take aggressive swings. Hits with a quiet head and does a good job of keeping a repeatable swing. Gets his lower half through the baseball and exit velos were up to 71 MPH. Hit multiple balls hard in game action. Also consistently found barrels throughout his round of BP. Jonathan is a well-rounded prospect that we hope to see continue to develop in his coming years before college.
09/24/2021 - MS All-Region Tournament
Jonathan is a 2025 SS/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All Region Tournament. In the field, he showed good fielding mechanics and good lateral range. Good reads off bat enable to create good fielding angles to his backhand side. Athletic/low fielding position, with a low funnel, and fields out front. A clean exchange into a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 75mph. Showed good actions on his DP feeds and pivots. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. Has a simple approach at the plate and is a good contact hitter. A flat barrel path enables him to spray balls consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 56mph. He reached base 7 times with 2 singles, 4 base on balls, and a reached on error in live game action. On the mound, he engages his lower half and gets to a good balance point as he works downhill towards his target. He separates his hands on time and throws with intent. In 2 innings of work, he stuck out 1 batter and induced soft contact. With 4 more years to develop, Jonathan has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Jonathan continued to show as a prospect at the Academic All-American tournament. At SS, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 67 mph. Fastball showed a range of 64-67 mph with arm side run. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Jonathan continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. At SS, defensive abilities as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. He made a great backhand play, laying out and hosing the guy at 1B. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he shows good tempo and competes. Fastball showed a range of 61-65 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
11/20/2020 - Texas Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend
Jonathan is a SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Texas Regional Skills Weekend. On the mound, Jonathan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He takes a proper stride and keeps his pitches around the zone. Jonathan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph. Breaking ball sits from 53-55mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 58-60mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Lengthening his arm action can help Jonathan improve his pitch command. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance with loose hands. He hits against a strong front side and produces solid contact. Jonathan can barrel up more baseballs by getting his stride foot down sooner. Overall, Jonathan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Jonathan continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he as 3 for 5. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 59-60 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Midland, TX
Jonathan is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Jonathan has active feet and he fields in a low position. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and consistency across the diamond. On the mound, Jonathan has good balance, a loose arm circle, and he works well to his balance point. He lands with good direction toward home and competes in the zone. At the plate, Jonathan has a closed stance, some balance, and he swings aggressively. He will need to work on the following in order for skills to improve.
