01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Jonathan is a hard-working OF prospect that was eager to learn and constantly asked questions. In the OF, Jonathan tries to be on time with his prep step and reads the ball off the bat. He makes the routine play but needs to continue to improve his arm strength and first step to the ball. At the plate, Jonathan starts in a squared stance, has comfortable hands, and tracks the ball well. He works counts and looks to hit the ball to the pull side. Jonathan hustles all over the field and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
