09/23/2012 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Brice is a an athletic and tall OF who has solid skills. Defensively in the OF, he shows quick/fluid footwork and sure hands. He gets behind fly balls and gathers well, making strong throws with life and carry to his target. Offensively, Jonathan displays a square/athletic setup and solid load. He stays direct and shows some bat speed, hitting line-drives. More lower 1/2 and a more relaxed grip will help abilities at the plate improve. Brice is young and will only continue to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
