08/25/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Farmingville (Long Island), NY Jonathan is a tall 2-way player as he plays the hot corner and pitches. At 3B, he is soft handed which is pivotal for the quick reaction time at 3B needs. He makes the backhand play look easy and fires the ball across the diamond. Offensively, he shows a tall stance and solid load. He uses his lower 1/2 well and has some pull side pop. On the bump, Hilario has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He reaches a tall balance point and gets good extension out over his front side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
