09/16/2020 - Pathway AZ Underclass - 16U Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.87 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip (90 mph velocity). At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-82 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jordan is a talented/athletic 2-way player who continues to make strides in his game and show well on the diamond. In the OF, he puts his athleticism and speed on display as he takes a quick first step and moves well to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with soft hands and has a clean transfer to throw, putting accurate throws on a line to his target. With the bat, this righty shows a balanced setup with a solid base. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as he connects with pop (exit velocity = 89 mph) and drives the ball to the gaps. On the mound, Bolden throws a FB and CB in which he attacks hitters. FB has good movement with some sink as he can spot up well. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with sharp/late break, proving to be a solid out pitch. He is sound mechanically and repeats his delivery. Arm works fluidly as he finishes with complete extension. This 2022 grad has the skill-set that will make an impact. He is one to keep an eye on.

07/17/2019 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jordan is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way prospect that was eager to learn. In the OF, Jordan is on time with his prep step, he reads the ball off the bat well, and creates angles to the ball. He works behind the ball well but needs to improve his first step quickness to increase his range. At the plate, Jordan starts in a crouched stance, loads his hands back, and has a good bat path to the ball. He needs to continue to improve his backside rotation and keep his head down at contact. Jordan has a middle approach and hunts the fastball early. On the bump, Jordan separates on time, keeps his eyes on his target, and has a loose arm action. He pounds the bottom part of the strike zone with his fastball and uses his curveball as an out pitch. Jordan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

02/10/2019 - College PREP - Martinez, CA Jordan is an athletic OF/3B prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the OF, Jordan shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At 3B, Jordan shows active footwork and flashes good range to his glove side. He fields in an athletic position and makes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Overall, Jordan is a talented prospect who should find success in this, his freshman season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
