10/17/2010 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Jordan is a young, 2-way player that plays SS and RHP. He currently projects better on the mound, as he enters his Sophomore year. In the INF, Jordan has okay hands, playable feet, and he catches most ground balls. He attacks the ball aggressively, give good effort, and throws with some accuracy to his target. Jordan can improve his defensive skills if he can soften his hands, field the ball further out in front of his body, and loosen his arm action. On the mound, Jordan has a long, loose arm and he throws on a downhill plane. He keeps his eyes to his target, is able to keep his arm speed the same with all of pitches, and he competes in the zone. Jordan's mound effectiveness can improve if he can add strength, improve his glove side lead, and tap into more lower 1/2. Offensively, Jordan has a square set-up, good balance, and a level swing. He has a short swing path, he puts the ball in play, and he hits it hard to the pull side. Offensive numbers can further improve if Jordan can avoid reaching for the ball, work it to all fields, and add physical strength.
