06/24/2018 - College PREP - Columbia, MD Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-76 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound.

04/02/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved the most through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. He is aggressive but needs to work to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at the Yankees Training Complex Jordan is a hard worker who is quick to make the necessary adjustments to his game. He is eager to learn and get where he wants to be. With the bat, this RHH shows an open/athletic setup with rhythm to load. He jumps of the first pitch he likes, swings on a level path, and drives the middle of the field. He has success in game-play while knocking it 2 RBI's. Relaxing/loosening his grip on the bat will allow for increase bat whip and bat speed. At SS, Jordan has quick actions as he hustles into position behind the ground ball. He made a nice backhand play in the hole with a clean exchange to throw. Working from the ground-up and playing through the GB more will help to develop his defensive skills at SS. A young, 2019 grad - Jordan still has a ton of time to work on and develop his game.

10/12/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Glen Burnie, MD Jordan is an OF who has some pop at the plate. Offensively, this RHH shows a square setup with good balance. Barrel delivery is quick with bat speed as he shows some pop off of the barrel when he squares it up. In the OF, he works light on his feet and tracks down balls to his right and left. He plays through the ball well and makes accurate throws into his target. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Offense
1. More lower 1/2 drive
2. Shorter/more direct swing path
3. Rhythm to load
Defense
1. Arm strength
2. Routes/angles
3. Get behind ball

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
