06/04/2017 - College PREP - Medford (Boston), MA Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying outstanding hitting abilities with tremendous power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop with the baseball coming off his bat differently. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays proper footwork around the bag. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Jordan has a bright future ahead of himself.

07/11/2016 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition - Session 1 Jordan is a big/physical player that is a great student of the game. At the plate, he shows game changing power to his pull side using his hands and strong wrists to keep the barrel in the zone for a long time. A primary first basemen, he shows good skills around the bag moving athletically, getting his hands out in front on time, and showing a proficiency for picking the ball out of the dirt on short throws. An enthusiastic player, Jordan communicates well and shows good knowledge of the game. Jordan will be an impact player thanks to his abilities with the bat.

04/03/2016 - College PREP - Providence, RI Jordan is a R/R 1B who has a strong/projectable build (6'2"/250). Defensively, he has active/efficient footwork and hustles around the GB into a square fielding position. He secures the ball and makes the plays. Working lower (from the ground-up) will help to stay down on the ball which will improve his defensive skill-set. As a hitter - Jordan stands in with a strong base and works to get loaded. He swings on a level path and engages his lower 1/2. Working to create more extension through contact will help to increase power at the plate. Only a 2019 grad - Jordan has skills with a ton of upside as he continues to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
