02/24/2013 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Jordan is a switch hitting, dual position player - C/OF - with an athletic build and an ability to run. Behind the dish, he sits well, has a quiet body, is soft receiving, and is quick to block - taking good angles. He gains ground to throw and is accurate. In the outfield, he is patient fielding through balls athletically, gathers well, and is fluid with his footwork. Offensively, he is nearly identical from both sides, with an on-plane swing path and good rhythm. Using more of his lower half will allow for greater bat speed and power. Jordan is a promising prospect and should not have trouble finding a spot at the next level - a switch hitting catcher is well-sought after.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
