09/26/2010 - College PREP - McKees Rocks, PA Jordan is a fast, athletic, OF who will graduate in 2011. He was timed at 6.76 in the 60 during the event. In the OF, Jordan has good hands and feet, and he has good pre-pitch actions. He is aggressive to the ball, he takes proper routes and angles, and he makes plays. Jordan has an over the top arm action, and delivers the ball accurately with decent carry to his target. Jordan has good athleticism in the OF, and can only get better with added arm strength. At the plate, Jordan has okay balance and good bat speed and barrel accuracy. He has a good set-up, level swing path, and he hits the ball hard to the pull side. Average hitting grades can further improve with a better load and not spinning off the baseball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
