08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Jordan is an athletic and talented 2024 2-way prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week at Vero Beach. At SS, Jordan is on time with his prep step, has good footwork to the ball, and anticipates the ball off the bat. He needs to continue to present a low/early glove, work from the ground up, and funnel the ball into his body. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Jordan starts in a squared stance, hits off a firm front side, and tracks the ball well. He needs to get his front foot down on time, create backside rotation, and hunt the fastball. On the bump, Jordan gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He needs to continue to drive the backside toward the plate and work north to south in his delivery. His fastball sits 51-52 mph, his slider has an early break, and he sinks his changeup. Jordan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

04/08/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sanford (Orlando), FL Jordan is a young, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. Defensively Jordan makes plays, his footwork is playable, and his hands are firm. He has a clean exchange, and a long arm action with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Jordan works in good rhythm, his arm is loose, and he repeats his delivery well. At the plate, Jordan has an athletic set-up, a proper load, and he swings in good rhythm. He tracks the ball well and hits hard to the pull side. Jordan can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Exchange
2. Fielding position
3. Footwork
Pitching
1. Finish
2. Release
3. Long toss
Offense
1. Lower body
2. Rhythm
3. Shorten swing

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
