06/12/2023 - National Showcase - Orange County, CA Jordan continues show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are now solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

11/10/2022 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Jordan is a lean SS who will graduate in 2026. At SS, feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents out front as he tracks ball in. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with a 2B. With 4 years to further develop, Jordan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
