11/11/2012 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Jordan is a 6'2"/170 lbs. Junior that is an above average runner with an above average arm. At shortstop, he has soft/sure hands, a quick/clean exchange, and fluid footwork which allows him to field athletically to both glove/back-hand side. His arm strength allows for him to get away with a double pat, currently, however, eliminating that and implementing more set feet to throw will make his arm play even greater. When thrown on the mound he shows an exceptional 12/6 curve-ball with late/sharp break. He has smooth tempo, stays inline to the dish, and has a complete/athletic finish. He is a raw pitcher that has the ability, but needs mechanical work. His fastball topped out at 86 MPH and his tall/thin frame is very projectable on the mound. Offensively, Jordan has a square/tall setup, is a gap to gap style hitter with fast bat speed that stays on-plane. Currently, he has no load with his hands, and is too tall in his setup, not allowing him to utilize his lower half. Overall, Jordan projects best as a shortstop, but with mechanical work and pitching focus, he has an ability to play either spot at the next level.
