05/05/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Lakewood (Denver), CO Jose is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Jose has soft hands, quick feet, and he fields in a low position. He has a quick exchange, and delivers the ball with a short / loose arm with life and accuracy to his target. On the mound, Jose has a good arm action, solid hip action, and he uses his lower body well. At the plate, Jose has a square set-up, average bat speed, and he swings in good rhythm. He has an aggressive swing, quick hands, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
