01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Joseph is a gifted 6 ft 1/195 catcher in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his level of play at the BF Preseason All American event. His feet work well behind the plate, and he stays square to the target. He tracks the ball in well and it sticks to his glove. His redirection actions are quick and clean and he gains a long ¾ slot. Registered a 2.28 pop and working to throw the top of the baseball will generate backspin and further carry on the ball. Shows the ability to block and uses his body well. At the plate, he begins in a tall stance from the left side and stays square to the dish. His timing is smooth and has fast hands to create a level path. Shows power to the pull side with 85 exit velo. Overall, Joseph looks to have a bright future.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Joseph is an athletic left-handed hitting OF in the 2025 class. Shows great size at 6ft 1/190 and explosive power from a 8ft 6 inch broad jump. Scouts like how engaged he was in games and felt he played with great energy. Defensively, he has a relaxed feel for great reads. His footwork is smooth and gets behind the baseball. Puts his body in position to field on-time and his pocket has feel. Arm strength can improve with a long toss program, however to has great awareness to prevent the free 90’s by consistently hitting the cut off man. At the plate, he shows pull side power. He keeps his hands inside the baseball and tracks well. Reached base safely 6 times 3hits/3BB and proved to hit all levels of pitching. Overall, Joseph is a player to watch.

12/20/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at JRTC - Session 1 Joseph is a 2024 OF who showcased his skills during the BF Christmas Camp and Tournament. In the OF, he showed ability to flip his hips and made high catches. Has clean exchange and gets rid of the baseball. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot into the infield with an arm velocity up to 80mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance with comfortable hands. He gets knob to C and gets his back hip through the baseball. Showed quick hands and a strong barrel at contact. He hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph during BP. During the games, he reached base 3 times with a double, a single, a walk, and reached on an error. Joseph is a solid player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Joseph is a 2024 OF who showcased his skills at the Fall Prospects Tournament. In the OF, he tries to create good angles and runs good routes to balls. He tries to get behind ball and creates momentum to his target. He gets rid of ball with an arm velocity up to 78mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance with loose hands. Has on-time rhythm to his swing and showed good barrel control during his round of BP. A flat barrel path enables him to hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph. During the tournament, he reached base multiple times. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Joseph making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
