02/10/2018 - College PREP - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Joshua is a thick, stocky, 3rd baseman who will graduate in 2019. Defensively, Joshua has active footwork, he presents his glove well, and fields in a low position. He fields athletically, takes good angles to the ball, and has a quick arm action with accuracy and carry to his target. At the plate, Joshua has a closed stance, quick hands, and he swings in good rhythm. He creates some leverage, swings on plane, and uses his lower body. Joshua can get better offensively with better timing, balance, and more lower body.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
