08/03/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Joshua is a solid SS who will graduate in 2018. In the field, he uses his feet efficiently and has good range to both his backhand and glove side. His hands are soft as he fields the ball and he has a quick, clean exchange to throw. He has a short arm action from a hi 3/4 slot and throws accurately and on line to his target. Joshua can improve as a defender by getting lower in his fielding position. At the plate, Joshua sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride to the pitcher. He is fluid getting back into his load and comes through well with his lower half finishing with a firm front side. He does not get cheated in his swing as he sprays the ball all over the field. Joshua can improve as a hitter by lowering his hands in his stance and by keeping his head on the ball throughout his swing. Overall, Joshua is a solid prospect and with two more years to develop he has the potential to contribute at the next level.
