12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Joshua continues show improvements his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and play through with is body he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. At the plate, he continues to shine through squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-72 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Joshua continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Joshua is a 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Joshua makes the routine plays and has a quick exchange. He shows the ability to throw from multiple arm angles and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH gets into a stacked load and barrels up the baseball, producing strong contact. On the mound, Joshua gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Joshua operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph. Breaking ball sits from 56-58mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 67-68mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Joshua is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Joshua is a tall 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Opening Day Classic. In the field, Joshua makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange, making strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Joshua field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and works to barrel up the baseball, producing solid line drives. Joshua can create more consistent contact by getting his stride foot down sooner. On the mound, Joshua separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm. He stays inline toward the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Joshua shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph. Breaking ball sits from 54-56mph with 11-5 break. Driving his lower half more can help Joshua increase his pitch velocity. Overall, Joshua is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/05/2020 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Joshua is a coachable 3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Offensive Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load well and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and produces solid line drives. Working a smoother rhythm into his load can help Joshua barrel up more baseballs. Overall, Joshua is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/22/2020 - Baseball Factory Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Weekend - Columbia, MD (Ages 14-18) Joshua came out to the Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills weekend with Baseball Factory and showed his aggressive approach at the plate! His setup was square and he initiated his move to hit with an easy load that worked back to start. He kept his head quiet through the move and the swing and hit off a firm front side. His exit velo worked up the notches by 4 mph since we last saw him, now hitting 76. Pair his line-drive approach with some continued development with rhythm & fluidity and Joshua will see increased success!

10/13/2019 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Joshua is a lean, athletic 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is soft /sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves and he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he uses his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Joshua has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
