08/05/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Joshua is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. At 2B, he starts with a good prep step and active/efficient feet. Shows good instincts and had good body language during his workout. Works into a low/square fielding position and fields out front. Clean exchange into a 3/4 arm slot, with a long arm, and his throws were accurate/on-line to first base up to 75mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and keeps eyes on target throughout delivery. Has simple/repeatable delivery and throws his pitches from the same window. Throws a FB that sits 68-70mph, a breaking ball with 11/5 shape, and a developing changeup. FB was his best pitch during his bullpen session. A right-handed hitter who hits from an athletic and open stance. Quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good plate discipline and only offered at pitches in the strike zone. During his round of BP, he sprayed the ball to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 68mph. With continued growth and development, we see this young 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
