01/30/2011 - College PREP - Waipahu, HI Joshua is a two-way player on the mound plus at SS with an average, thin frame that shows projection as he continues to fill out. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.25 60 time and he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in attacking ground balls through low approach. Hands are playable showing a soft, clean glove action. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to aid in further building more arm strength with carry. Offensively, Lorenzo shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick but get out around the ball creating a long swing path. Stride is long and dives into the ball through his lower half. Hitting grades and power numbers will improve as he learns to stay back and transfer weight properly through his lower half while keeping hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 72-75 mph. Changeup is best off speed pitch showing a solid feel for with fading action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with loose spin as he needs to find a consistent release point. Joshua has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
