10/17/2021 - All-In Membership - San Jose, CA Joshua is a 2024 LHH LHP/OF. In the outfield, Joshua exhibited the ability to take good routes to the baseball and show an explosive 1st step which allowed him to get behind the baseball. He was able to get the ball out of his glove quickly and throw the ball on line to his target. Offensively, he used a crouchy stance with smooth timing to get the bat on plane with bat speed to hit hard consistent line drives. On the mound, Joshua displayed a compact motion with a quick arm action. His fastball had good arm side run while his off speed showed good break and deception. Overall, Joshua showed very well in San Jose and is a promising prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
