08/04/2010 - Pirate City World Series 2010 - Session 1 Joshua is a two-way player as a catcher plus in the OF with an athletic frame that is well suited for his positions. Currently, he projects best as a catcher for the next level. Foot speed is slightly above average as indicated by his 7.41 60 time. Feet are active in working in line with his target through a quick transfer / exchange with pop times showing a range of 2.09-2.30. Throws display life, carry, and accuracy into his target. Receiving and blocking skills show potential as being quality tools at the next level as he shows off his athletic abilities. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles but needs to work on getting behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Offensively, Radford shows an aggressive approach as he loads well with hands working inside and through the baseball at contact, utilizing all fields. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Joshua has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
