07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Joshua is a smart and polished catcher in the 2024 class. Scouts described him as having a high motor, plays with energy, leader and engaged type player. Behind the plate, he is athletic and a quiet receiver. Maintains the strike zone and pitchers trust him behind the plate. Gains ground with his right foot on throws and is accurate to the bag. Can get the ball in the air quickly (2.03 pop/80 velo)). Advanced blocker and uses sacrifice his body to stop free 90’s. At the plate, he is an oppo type hitter and stays inside the baseball well. Begins with a tall stance with comfortable hands. Has a controlled stride and his swing is on-plane. Has great barrel feel and with more lower half engagement, he will generate more power production. Overall, Joshua is a solid prospect and will get looks for the next level.

02/06/2022 - All-In Membership - Palmetto, FL Joshua is a tall (6’0/160) athletic catcher in the 2024 class. He recently impressed scouts with his performance on the diamond. Behind the plate, he has quick feet to compliment his frame. He displays a quick release (2.14 pop) from a high ¾ arm slot. Replaces his feet well to align his body to the target for strong (79 velo) accurate throws. Working to square his body to the pitcher will assist him on maintaining the strike zone and keep his eyes behind the baseball. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
