08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Tipton showed us a lot of improvements in his baseball abilities. His foot speed has really improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.06. He utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in attacking and playing through ground balls with his body. His hands are soft / clean / sure as he presents well out front. His arm strength has improved as well with throws displaying accuracy and on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, he shows a balanced approach with rhythm. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Power numbers will continue to rise as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 3 for 10. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player that works hard.
